George Kwabena Bauwah, known as Kobi Twitches or Nana is a distinguished movement artist with over 15 years of professional experience rooted in both traditional and contemporary dance forms. Born on April 28, 1995, He discovered his passion for dance  at a young age beginning his training early, starting with Ankos(kakamotobi/masquerade) dancing, progressing through traditional Ghanaian dance, and evolving into street dance styles.
While pursuing a degree in Agricultural Engineering at the University of Ghana, he deeply involved in the School of Performing Arts, where he balanced his studies with intensive dance training and participation in productions. This dual focus laid a strong foundation for his future career in the industry.
As an active member of the dance community, Twitches has honed his skills in multiple  styles, including krump, Azonto, Asorkpor, contemporary African dance, and traditional Ghanaian dances making him a versatile and influential figure in the dance world.
His commitment to using dance as a tool for social and environmental change is evident in his numerous projects. Notable works as a performing artist include "AFRICAN GAMES 2023, "Forest Beat" with Cie Shefryon, "ALN @10," Yosakoi festival ", ”This is Ghana” by Michael Sarpong , “Somatic Continum” 2021 with Mawusi Sarah, “SUITS” with Kwame Osei ,"Rhythm and Blood" with Obiajulu Ozegbe, and collaborated with "Steeze Afrika on AAYALOLO (chalewote festival 2023) and Street Art Liberation from 2023-24.

During his service at the Institute of African Studies, He enriched his understanding of African cultures and worked with the Pan- African movement through lecturers like Dr Edem Adotey and Dr. Mjiba Frehiwot.
His recent project, "The Evolution of "Afro Dance": Here and Now," is an exhibition that reconnects the trending "afro" culture to its roots, emphasizing the intrinsic connection between art and the environment.
He is currently traveling across Ghana, collecting data and studying dances to explore their contemporary relevance.
He pioneers the Krump Movement in Ghana and played a key role in Nus3 youth exchange both in Germany and Ghana. Through this he was one of the instructors for the 10th anniversary of the CDC festival in Berlin in 2024.
George's choreographic works include impactful pieces like "Loud Silence", "Divinity:" staged at the National Theatre of Ghana and Alliance Française, and "Phases," exploring internal struggles.
He also choreographed for music videos, for Manifest, Wizkid, Bosom Pyung, Fameye, Kwadi and many others.
He has collaborated on various projects, including working with Sophia Thakur for the BBC Reel "Home", French deal “Power is Yours “ brand and  with Off-White" Imaginary TV with Prince Jyesi".
Twitches continues to strive for artistic excellence, impacting generations with his dedication to dance and movement arts. His mission is to create, share and inspire, fostering a deeper appreciation for the rich cultural heritage of African dance.

HE has traveled, taught workshops, judged competitions & battles and performed on different platforms.
